Casting Spells

When you think of spells and spell casting, many people remember movies such as Hocus Pocus or Practical Magic. I liked both of those movies. Great entertainment and lots of drama!

How do I choose a spell? Do I need to use a spell from a spell book?

No! You can choose a spell from any spell book out there, or from the internet, or you can create your own unique spell. There are many people out there who have several spellcasting books where they use the spells faithfully, while others strive to create their own spells and rituals. There is no one right way for everybody. Do what feels right for you.

How long does it take a spell to work?

Unlike the movies, in real life, spellcasting doesn’t usually have the instantaneous results the above-mentioned films had. Spellcasting and the ensuing results take time, sometimes days, sometimes weeks, or even months. I have had one or two spells that took years to achieve.

What are the steps to cast a spell?

1.     Decide on the spell you want to cast. (Finding love, money, protection, etc.)

2.     Gather your candles, herbs, and/or oils and any other materials you may need to carry out the ritual.

3.     Decide on what date you want to cast it. Do you want to cast it at night or daytime? During a waxing or waning moon?

4.     Casting the circle.

5.     Cast the spell on the planned for date.

6.     Focus strongly on the ritual. It’s extremely important that you want to achieve results.

7.     Close the circle. Thank the deity you have reached out to, if any.

8.     Now, let go of waiting for the results. If it is meant to happen, it will happen.  Have faith in the powers that be.

In the end, the more spell casting that you do, the better you become at it and the better results you will have. Practice makes perfect, as they say.
